| Obituary: Fred P. Santore of Scarsdale passed away on April 2, 2010. Fred was born March 7, 1924 in Mt. Vernon to Anthony and Emma Santore. Fred graduated Edison High School in Mt. Vernon where he played football and baseball. After graduation he served in the United States Air Force during WWII and on October 8, 1944 he married Mary Chlentzos. He was employed Austin Nichols as a liquor salesman and in 1960 joined Broadway Box Office in New York City where he became treasurer. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Adrian Sokolowski, son Fred Santore, brother Robert Santore and two grandchildren Stephen and Laura. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by a brother Chuck Santore. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Church in New Rochelle on Wednesday at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, New Rochelle, NY would be appreciated. |
