| Obituary: Lena Rose Poplees “Rosie” “Bupa” a lifelong resident of Mt. Vernon passed away, on January 4, 2010,
with her family by her side. Rosie was born on February 19, 1915 to Antonio & Rosalie Fontana. She married Milton Poplees on September 1, 1940. Rosie worked as a Lab Technician for Vicks Laboratory for over 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter Jo-Ann Perriello, four grandchildren Anthony Perriello, Adriana Perriello Goldberg, her husband Seth Goldberg, Dina Perriello and Pamela Perriello; a granddaughter-in-law Gina Perriello, three great-grandchildren Brianna, Emma and Adam. Her husband Milton passed away in 1988. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. Mass of Christian burial Our Lady of Victory Church Friday at 10am. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. |
