| Obituary:
Thomas Edmund Maher, of Mt Vernon, 73, passed away on May 18, 2010. Born in the Bronx to Mary (Cullinan) & Thomas Maher on December 10, 1936. Thomas married Patricia Stritch on January 27, 1968. He was a Bricklayer for the Manhattan Bricklayers Union. Thomas and Patricia were dedicated volunteers at the St. Francis of Assisi Homeless Shelter. Survived by his beloved wife Patricia, brothers; John (Mary) Maher & James (Deborah) Maher and sisters; MaryEllen (Warren) Raab and Margaret (Bert) McConnell. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Mass of Christian burial is Fridayat 10am at Sts. Peter & Paul Church with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Francis Bread Line 135 W. 31st Street, NY, NY 10001
