Obituary: Helen Itri (Scotty) of Mt. Vernon passed away on May 25, 2010.  Helen was born August 19, 1928 in Scotland to John and Helen Troncone.  In 1948 Helen came to the United States and on September 17, 1950 married Thomas Itri.  Helen worked for the Mt. Vernon Board of Education in food service at Mt. Vernon High School. She is survived by her sons Thomas Itri (Barbara), William Itri (Joanne), Lawrence Itri and her daughter Nancy Pak (Frank), a brother Lawrence Troncone, four grandchildren Thomas, Lawrence, Jamie and Sarah and a brother in-law Ben Itri.  Predeceased by her husband Thomas Itri and a sister Rosemarie Cenname.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9pm and Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm.  Mass of Christian burial Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 10am.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Helen Itri, made to the American Heart or Lung Society, would be appreciated.
