| Services: Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Monday at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment to follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. | Obituary: Moises DeMelo of Mt. Vernon passed away on January 7, 2010. He was born in Portugal on January 18, 1920 to Joao and Alexandrina DeMelo. Moises came to the United States in 1961 where he worked hard to raise his family. He was a loving husband who tended to and cared for his wife Izilda who predeceased him in 1986. He was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Victory Church. Moises is survived by his children, Joao DeMoura, Maria Cosentino, David DeMelo, Alcides DeMelo and Teresa DeMelo; his sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. |
