| Obituary:
Robert L. Cimmino, a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, passed away on March 23, 2010. Robert was born May 18, 1930 to Mario & Mary Cimmino. He served in the US Navy. Robert married Lillian Patricia Thistleton on February 20, 1955 at Sacred Heart Church. He was an insurance salesman with Metropolitan Insurance Company and then Prudential Insurance Company until his retirement in 1995. In his later years, his companion dog, Penny, brought him alot of comfort and joy. He is survived by his wife Lillian Patricia, two sons; Robert Cimmino, Richard (Rose) Cimmino and daughter Patricia (Robert) McGillis. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Stephanie, Jennifer and Robert, a brother Paul Cimmino and an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Marion Sirabella. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. A service will be held on Saturday 11:30 AM at the funeral home. |
