| Obituary: Erma Marie Auer, 97, of Jacksonville, NC, formerly of Mount Vernon, NY died at her home Feb. 25, 2010. "Aunt Erma", beloved grandmother, loved one and friend. To know her was to love her. Erma lived by her faith in God and was an active and faithful member of Calvary Lutheran Church for many years. Erma loved life, her family and friends. She truly made the world a better place and touched many hearts. Erma was preceded in death by loving her husband Albert; her daughter, Bonnie Wadwick; her parents Paul and Nellie Tubandt; and two brothers, Lawrence and Donald Tubandt. Surviving are her grandson, Christopher Wadwick of Durham, NC; brother, Robert Tubandt of Minnesota; sister, Amy Avery of South Dakota; also Judith Henninger of North Carolina; William and Carole Bendlin of New York; and a number of nieces, nephews and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Yannantuono Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at the Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church, 206 Pine Valley Road Jacksonville, NC 28546. |
