| Obituary: Angelo Turturro of Mt. Vernon passed away on August 9, 2009. Angelo was born on December 4, 1913 in Giovinazzo,, Italy to Michele and Maria Turturro. He came to the United States in 1929. He married Grace Perrino April 22, 1945. Angelo worked for the Mt. Vernon Board of Education, retiring in May of 1983. Survived by his daughter Vivian and her husband Peter Gregory, his son Michael, two brothers Vincenzo and his wife Anna and Nicola and his wife Angela, and a sister in-law Teresa. Also survived by two grandchildren Peter and his wife Maria Turturro Jr. and Marc Turturro, and two great grandchildren Andie and Nikki. Predeceased by his wife Grace on August 21, 1994, brother Giuseppe and sister Teodora. |
