| Obituary:
Carlo Scrofani of Mt. Vernon passed away Nov. 1, 2009. Carlo was born in Bronxville on March 13, 1927 to Giovanni and Celestina Scrofani. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and later married Mary Miele on June 2, 1957. Carlo worked as a butcher in various stores throughout the county. Carlo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His love and friendship was and always will be a gift to all who were blessed to have known him. He is survived by his four daughters Lisa Royce, Jerri Jacobs, Lori DeRose and Amy Passarelli. Also survived by eleven grandchildren. Carlo was predeceased by his wife Mary on August 19, 2009.
