 Obituary:
Sabino A. Nardone, a long time Mt. Vernon resident passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2009 in Delhi, NY surrounded by his family. Sabino was born in Dentecane, Avellino, Italy on July 12th 1930. He was employed by the Mt. Vernon Board of Education for over 35 years as a head carpenter. For the past 15 years Sabino enjoyed his retirement by gardening, hunting, fishing, and taking care of his animals. He was predeceased by his parents Carlo Alberto and Gaetana Nardone, and brother Antonio. He is survived by his wife Maria of 55 years, his two sisters, Antonietta Nasti of Mt. Vernon and Lina Natoli of Eastchester. He will be deeply missed by his three sons, Carlo (Diana), Anthony (John) and Richard. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Carlo Jr., Peter, Casey, Cody, and Rebecca.
