| Obituary: Brian Sean Mohamed, Mt Vernon, passed away on March 25, 2009. He was born May 10, 1965, in Guyana, to Cecil and Kathleen Mohamed, who survive him. He was 43 years old. Brian served in the Marines from 1983 - 1991. Since his discharge, he has been serving in the reserves. On August 29, 1987 he married Celeny Rodriguez. Brian was a NYC Police officer, recently as a lieutenant, for 18 years, on the Upper West Side. Besides his parents, Brian is survived by his wife Celeny, his son Trystan, a sister Jacqueline Catalano and a brother Jason Mohamed and a brother in law James Catalano.

I want to express my deepest condolences and at the same time say that I am with you all in spirit and love. I know losing Brian is painful, but he is no longer suffering. We are all richer for knowing him. I consider myself lucky in knowing him and being a part of and sharing good memories with all of you. Here is something that brought me comfort when my uncle passed away and I hope it brings comfort to you during this difficult time: "God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered "come to Me," A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts, To prove to us, He only takes the best. "
