| Obituary: Nicholas Joseph Liverano of Mt. Vernon passed away peacefully on May 16, 2009. Born on October 24, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Joseph and Angelina (Russo - Colarusso) Liverano. He graduated from Edison High School in 1948 and later worked for Gaynor News in Mt. Vernon for 40 years. An active member of the Senior Citizens Armory on North Fifth Avenue. He was an advocate for the seniors and was always available to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his nephews Charles A. Colarusso and his wife Mildred of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Anthony A. Colarusso and his wife Kathryn of Key Largo, Florida, Camine Russo and his wife Odalys of North Carolina and their families, cousins Frankie Russo and wife Nancy and their sons of Chester, CT., and Ralph Coppetto and his daughter Lisa of Hollywood Florida. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and hunting partners. |
