| Obituary: George Gherardi of Mt. Vernon passed away on April 6, 2009. He was born in New Rochelle on November 27, 1917 to John and Mary Gherardi. George served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Jean Ciambrello in 1962. George was the owner of Gherardi Greenhouses for over 50 years. He is predeceased by his wife Jean and his brother John Gherardi. He is survived by a sister Beatrice and her husband Joseph Spinelli; his nieces and nephews, Lynn (Gherardi) Smith, John Gherardi and James Gherardi. Also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. |
