Rita Roberts Date of Death: March 24 , 2008 Services: Family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Church.  Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Visitation: Rita Roberts a lifelong Mt. Vernon resident died March 24, 2008 at the age of 79 years.  Rita was born December 25, 1928 to Ralph and Annunziata Cairo Potente, where she attended Mt. Vernon public schools.  She was employed by the City of Mt. Vernon Police Department for 30 years as a school crossing guard and retired in 1992.  Rita was a longtime parishioner of St. Ursula’s and Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Churches.  Devoted mother survived by a daughter Jennifer Roberts of Wilton, Ct.; a son Arthur and his wife Grace Roberts; two grandchildren, Rita Isabella and Dominic Roberts, of Wilton, CT; and Arthur W. Roberts of Cape May, New Jersey.  Predeceased by one brother and five sisters.  Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.  Family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Church.  Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care of South Western Connecticut, Restricted to the Richard L.
