Obituary: Elisa Guerra, nee Annunziata, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully on May 20, 2008. She was 87 year old. Elisa was born in Manhattan on November 2, 1920, and moved to Mt. Vernon when she was six years old where she lived until retiring to Florida in 1995. A gifted seamstress and business woman her talents led her to contract with design houses and departments stores. But her heart was in designing wedding dresses for those close to her.

Elisa is survived by hers sons, daughters and daughter in-laws, Michael (Martie), Jerry (Ginny),
Anthony (Lindi), Linda Jennings, and Loretta. Her grandchildren Craig, Alisha (Jeff), Jerry Jr.(Chrissy), Christopher (Bonnie), Nicholas, Melissa, Elisa, Loretta-Christy. Great-Grand Children Marissa, Savanah, Anthony, Madison, Mia, Angelina. Hers sisters Virginia & Laura (Buddy) and sister-in-law Ilka and many dear friends made throughout the years.

She is predeceased by five brothers & three sisters.

Elisa or "Granny," a name given to her by her grandchildren and echoed by everyone close, mostly enjoyed the company of her children and grandchildren, and in her later years enjoyed traveling, knitting, slot machines, reading, instructing classes with her fellow Seniors,  and sharing the love of her daughter Loretta's cherished pets Tinka, Tilly, TC and Babe.

Elisa will be remembered for her generosity and compassion,  but foremost she was a devoted mother who loved and raised her children on her own and for this, Granny, we will be eternally grateful.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mansou for his loving care and kindness to Elisa during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, Granny's wish would be to love and care for one another.
