Edith Cortellessa Date of Death: January 6, 2008 Services: T he family will receive friends and relatives at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home on Thursday, 10 am.  Services will follow at 11:30 am.  Interment, Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY. Visitation: Edith Cortellessa, 95, passed away on January 6, 2008 at her home in Mount Vernon, NY with her husband and two children by her side.  She was born on August 25, 1911 to the late Nicholas and Christina Bartholomew.  Prior to getting married and raising a family, she worked at Metropolitan Life in Manhattan.  She was a devoted wife of 75 years to surviving husband, Christopher Cortellessa.  Also surviving is her beloved son, Richard, and his wife Dolores of Eastchester, NY and daughter, Carol Lynch and her husband Frederick of Harrison, NY.  She was cherished by her 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother and 4 sisters.  Family was the center of her life. She will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home on Thursday, 10 am.  Services will follow at 11:30 am.  Interment, Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
