Maria Cerbone Date of Death: February 4, 2008 Services: Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.  Mass of Christian burial Thursday 10am at St. Mary’s Church.  Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery  Visitation: Maria Cerbone of Mt. Vernon past away peacefully on February 4, 2008.  Maria was born October 9, 1934 in Mt. Vernon to Manuel and Maria Gloria Machado.  She married Frank Cerbone on October 2, 1954.  Maria was a communicant of St. Ursula’s Church, Member of the Madonna Del Arco Society at Our Lady of Victory Church and participated in the prayer group at St. Mary’s Church. Maria will best be remembered for her willingness  to share love, compassion and help to all in need.  Her thoughtfulness was far reaching.  Maria’s world revolved around caring for her family and friends.  She was happiest in the kitchen, teaching her grandsons to make homemade pasta, pizza and Christmas cookies. Maria is survived by her beloved husband Frank, loving son’s Anthony and Frank, daughter in-law Lisa. Fond sister of Ermelinda Fragoso and Louise Caro.
