William Arthur Bringer Date of Death: March 22, 2008 Services: Family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:30 - 8:30pm at the funeral home. A Religious Service will be held Tuesday at 7PM. Obituary: William Arthur Bringer of Mt. Vernon passed away peacefully on March 22, 2008. William was born September 30, 1929 in the Bronx to William and Ruby Bringer. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955. He later became a police officer and achieved the grade of lieutenant for the City of Mt Vernon Police Department and also served as a Police Pilot. William married Edna Wentland on December 20, 1952 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. William was an avid golfer.
