Services: Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 at the funeral home.  Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church.  Interment to follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. or Calvary Hospital, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY
Obituary: Mary Candarelli of Mt Vernon passed away on June 15, 2008.  She was born in Mt. Vernon on December 24, 1917 to Frank and Rose Viteritti.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph Candarelli.  She is survived by her son Larry and his wife Lori Candarelli; her grandchildren Joseph, Natalie and Steven; her sister Ann and her husband Dan Moliterno and a brother Joseph and his wife Ann Viteritti.  Mary was active in the Altar Rosary Society at Our Lady of Victory Church.

     Margie worked for the President of The New York Central Railroad before she was married.  She married James D. Gleason, on 01/15/1966 in Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Church.  Margie and James moved to Mount Vernon in 1970 where they raised their family. Margie was very active in her community, and her children’s schools.  She was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church.  She enjoyed many years of fundraising and participation in the Mount Vernon Democratic Party. At the time of her death she was a Mount Vernon Civil Service Commissioner.

    Margie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, retired, MVFD Commissioner James D. Gleason, children, Muffin and Joseph Hamm, Thomas and Melissa Gleason and Cathlin and Roberto Boncardo.  Her most precious grandchildren, Gabriella and Thomas Gleason and Sofia Boncardo.  Also survived by very special people including her nephew, Kevin Hackett and his wife Jen and their children, Justin and Kristin Chase and their children.  Also,many nieces and nephews.
